This project is a character design for Boo Cafe in Vanadzor, Armenia. The goal was to create a lively and engaging mascot that could reflect the vibrant energy of the cafe.
The initial red cutouts helped establish the owl's pose and personality.
I then translated the concept into a digital sketch, refining the owl's figure, body language, and facial expression. The final illustration featured bold, contrasting colors (purple and orange) and retro textures to emphasize the owl’s fun, quirky vibe. The character, complete with a cozy sweater and sneakers, perfectly reflects the cafe’s vibrant atmosphere and is versatile for branding applications.
I designed the owl to be used in various branding materials, including signage, merchandise, and cafe products. The mockups below show the character applied on coffee cups, tote bags, and posters, demonstrating its flexibility across different formats.
The owl character helped solidify Boo Cafe’s branding as fun, quirky, and welcoming, creating a memorable image for its customers.
